Royal Voluntary Service Sussex is a Dementia day service offers people with dementia the chance to enjoy some new activities away from home. Our service offers support and a wide range of different things to do within a comfortable, safe environment. Our specially trained staff and calm atmosphere means that visitors can relax and enjoy their time whilst giving a much needed break for their carers.

The dementia day service currently runs every Monday & Wednesday at the Royal Voluntary Service, South street, St. Leonards on Sea.

During the session we offer a range of activities that people can choose from including:

  • Socialising
  • Games
  • Gentle exercise
  • Music
  • Singing and dancing
  • Outings

Activities are tailored to provide specialist support for people with dementia and are run by qualified, trained staff. Sessions run from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Visitors can attend for a whole day or a three hour, morning or afternoon session. Lunch can be purchased directly from the RVS. Out & about afternoons will be on Mondays. The service costs: £40 per day or £20 per half day. Funding may be available through social care direct.
